Try as you might, Megan Holmes is a tough lady to catch. As a youngster in Baxter, Minnesota, she was an avid runner racking up championships as early as the second grade. In high school & college, Megan was a team captain and 12-time Cross-country Track & Field letter winner. This fleet-footed woman racked up All-Conference, All-Section, and All-State honors.
Megan made the move to St. Pete after college and was looking for a way to make new friends. She happened upon CrossFit9 by chance. She says she’d never felt so welcome. After her first CrossFit Open, she was hooked for good.
Nowadays Megan is in law school at Stetson College of Law in Gulfport, but when she’s not studying Supreme Court cases, she’s coaching at CrossFit9 at sunrise and sunset, having a Turbid 7 hazy IPA at Green Bench, or traveling to see live music (or hike!) whenever she can.
