November Challenge: CrossFit9 Turkey Trot

Don those running shoes, 9'ers, it's time for a good old fashioned Turkey Trot.

We know what you're thinking... "I suck at running," or "Running is so hard," or "I'd rather gouge my own eyes out with the Thanksgiving carving knife."

(Disclaimer: Pants required at CrossFit9.)

We hear you. But the sucky part of running comes when you're deconditioned. So, this month, as the weather cools (so help us), you'll get on the road and into running shape.

Every day, L2 & L3 athletes should accumulate 1 mile. L1 athletes should accumulate 800m. You can split this mileage up any way you like - all at once, or part before class and part after.

Finally, the month will culminate in a 5k Turkey Trot (unofficial timing) hosted by CrossFit9 at 9:30am on Thanksgiving Day.

Normal Thanksgiving WODs will be held at 8:30am and 10:30am, so you can even add the Turkey Trot on to your workout!

The more the merrier! Bring your friends and family to join us and get them in on the challenge, too.

What better way to get in the holiday spirit? While the Florida heat might not give it away, the holiday season is fully upon us!

Okay, let's not get too ahead of ourselves...

Ah yes, that's the stuff!

So come celebrate November with a festive challenge that culminates in a one-time event, perfectly aligned with Thanksgiving.

Note: Running programmed into a workout (9HIIT or WOD) does not count toward the challenge.
