8:30 AM - Doors open at CrossFit9, check-in begins.
9:00 AM - Remarks from Signatures for Soldiers.
9:15 AM - Coach-led group warmup.
9:30 AM - Workout begins.
11:00 AM: Post-workout gathering at Bayboro Brewing Co.
Murph With Friends
This event is open to the community. A cash donation is optional, but strongly encouraged.
Post-Workout Gathering
Our after-workout gathering will be within walking distance at Bayboro Brewing (2390 5th Ave S). Food and beverages are available for purchase.
Parking
Please use the designated CrossFit9 lots on the east side of the 28th St S and 6th Ave S intersection.
The Hero WOD
Please note versions of the workout will be available for all fitness levels.
"Murph"
For Time:
- 1 mile Run
- 100 Pull-Ups
- 200 Push-Ups
- 300 Air Squats
- 1 mile Run
Start and end the workout with a mile run. Partition the pull-ups, push-ups, and squats as needed.
Rx: Women wear a 14 lb. weight vest, and men wear a 20 lb. weight vest. (Please plan to bring your own.)
Honor the Sacrifice
CrossFit "hero workouts" are named for fallen members of the U.S. Armed Forces and first responders.
U.S. Navy SEAL Lt. Michael P. Murphy was killed in action on June 28, 2005, in Operation Enduring Freedom. He was posthumously awarded the Medal of Honor.
