What is the CrossFit Open?
The CrossFit Open is a 3-week worldwide event that anyone can join. Including you!
For 99% of us, it's a chance to push ourselves, evaluate our fitness level against previous years, and help set goals for the future.
For those pursuing CrossFit as a sport, this is the beginning of the search for the Fittest on Earth, and a chance to get scored against all the other participants around the world. (Read: How CrossFit Finds the Fittest on Earth)
What are the Workouts?
There are 3 different workouts.
Every Thursday starting Feb. 29, CrossFit HQ will announce a new workout at 3:00 PM (EST). You can view the live stream at games.crossfit.com.
And How Does The Open Work at CrossFit9?
At CrossFit9, we host an Intramural-style Open focusing on community and fun over competition.
This year we will host Open workouts on Saturdays at 9:30 AM.
- 24.1: Saturday, March 2, 9:30 AM (Main Room)
- 24.2: Saturday, March 9, 9:30 AM (Main Room)
- 24.3: Saturday, March 16, 9:30 AM (Main Room)
Please remember that there will be no 10:00 AM 9FIT, and this event will be held instead of the 9:30 AM CrossFit WOD. Other classes will be held as usual.
